Treatment of aplastic anemia in children by fetal liver transplantation——repot of 34 cases

Thirty-four children suffering from alpastic anemia, including 31 cases of acquired plastic anemia, 2 of congenital hypoplastic anemia, and 1 of Fanconi’s anemia, were treated by etal liver transfusion （FLT） from march, 1982 to March, 1988. Fresh liver cells were given to 1 patients and cryopreservede prepations were used in the remaining 3. The over-all effective ate as assessed 3 and 12 months after FLT was found to be 51.3% and 69.2% respectively.No pparent adverse effects were noticed following FLT except for transient hemoglobinemia eveloped in one case which disappeared spontaneously one day later.
