The use of immunogold double labelling in the electromicroscopic diagnosis of pituitary adenomas

the technology using two or more different immunogold labelled antibodies on onesection to show he precence of different antigens is called immunogold double labelling or poly-labelling. In this study,11 cases of human pituitary adenomas were immunogold labelled andquantitativly analysised with five types of antibodies from the same animal. For each case, twoof the five types of antibodies were crossly used on one section. The results showed that thismethod may get more procise locations of the five kinds of hormones in pituitary adenoma cellsand can provide more helpful clinical diagnosis and pathological typing.
