Analysis of medical support in evacuation of the wounded of Wenchuan great earthquake in a field hospital in Chengdu

Objective: To analyze and summarize the character of medical support in evacuation of the wounded of wenchuan great earthquake in a field hospital in Chendu.Methods:After Wenchuan great earthquake,the wounded were transported by helicopters to the field hospital from disaster area such as Wenchuan,Yinxiu and Pengzhou.The wounded were conveyed in ambulance quickly to the field hospital as soon as they landed in airports in Chengdu.After 1st and 2nd examination and diagnosis,the wounded were admitted respectively.Ambulances,stretchers and other relative things were sterilized according to epidemic prevention principle.Emergent evacuation program was prepared for great aftershock.All these were summarized and analyzed.Results: Helicopters helped to evacuate the wounded as quickly as possible.It was important to perform 1st and 2nd examination and diagnosis to ensure effective therapy for the wounded.Epidemic situation was prevented by emergent and critical disinfection.Potential dangers of aftershock were eliminated beforehand by emergent evacuation program.Conclusion: Consummate medical support results in effective and rapid treatment for the wounded.
