Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the variation profiling of serum enzymes from 8 malignant tumor. Methods: The activities of serum GPT, GOT, LDH, ALP and GGT from 373 malignant tumor patients were measured by HITACHI 7600 automatic biochemistry analyzer. Results: The 3 principal components among the 5 enzymes and their positive rate for each cancer were: primary liver cancer 91.3%: GGT-GOT-LDH, breast cancer 89.5%: GGT-GOT-LDH, lung cancer 90.2%: GOT-ALP-LDH, gastric cancer 94.1%: GOT-LDH-GGT, colon cancer 95.8%: GOT-GGT-LDH, rectum cancer 96.1%: GGT-ALP-LDH, pancreas cancer 93.2%: GGT-LDH-ALP,and bile duct tumor 96.2%: GOT-GGT-ALP. Conclusion: The association tests of the enzymes give better and more sensitive results to tumor diagnosis. The increased serum enzyme activity without supported clinical reason may be indicating the risk of tumor.
