Nutritional support to post-operative patients with carcinoma of esophagus and gastric cardia

12 post-operative patients with carcinoma of the esophagus and gastric cardia were treated with element diet, and compared with 10 cases of control group. The differences among the weight, hemoglobin, and hospitalization time were observed. The results showed that hemoglobin and weight in treated group were gredualy increased, and those in the control group were decreased. The hosptialization time in the treated group was much shorter than that in the control group（P＜ 0.01）.
