Application of remifentanil anesthesia in vocal nodule extirpation

Objective: To study the application of remifentanil anesthesia in vocal nodule extirpation. Methods: One hundred and sixty patients（ASA1or2）with vocal nodule were selected and rundomly divided two groups.Group R were given anaesthetic induction and maintenance with remifentanil;while Group F were given anaesthetic with fentanil and maintenance with isoflurane instead. Results: Anaesthesia by remifentanil produces less post-operutive complications. Conclusion: Remifentanil can be used safely and effectively in vocal nodule extirpation.
