Abstract
In order to analyse variation and significance of antioxdases in patients with lung cancer, the activity and content of SOD、Mn SOD、CuZn SOD、CAT、GSH Px in peripheral blood were determined in 18 patients with lung cancer and 10 patients with benign lung disease. The results showed that: (1)The SOD A、Mn SOD A、CuZn SOD A in lung cancer groups were significantly higher than that in the group of benign lung disease, however, the CuZn SOD Cushowed no significant difference, the SOD A and Mn SOD A were decreased after operation. (2)There was no marked difference of CAT activity between different groups. (3)The GSH Px activity was significantly lower in the lung cancer groups. The GSH Px activity decreased gradually in lung cancer patients from early to advanced stages. The results indicated that carcinogenesis and advanced lung cancer may relate to antioxidases. The measurement of Mn SOD A and GSH Px were useful in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment and prognosis.
