Use of antidepressants in our hospital in 2005-2007

Objective To evaluate the use of antidepressants in our hospital in order to provide a reference for their rational use. Methods Defined daily dose（DDD）,amount of drugs used,and daily cost in our hospital from 2005 to 2007 were analyzed with Excel. Results The DDD and amount of antidepressants were yearly increased. Conclusion The 2nd generation of antidepressants,with fluoxetine as its representative,is the first line drugs and selective use of SSRI has become multiple and more rational in our hospital.
