Treatment of cervical cancer with arterial perfusion and neoadjuvant chemotherapy

  • Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of arterial perfusion and neoadjuvant chemotherapy on cervical cancer. Methods A total of 201 patients with pathologically-confirmed cervical cancer, enrolled in this study, underwent arterial perfusion and adjuvant chemotherapy followed by radical hysterectomy. Results Complete response(CR)and partial response(PR)were achieved in 84 and 75 cases, respectively, with a total effective rate of 79.1%,which was similar to that of 185 cervical cancer patients as a control group after direct surgical treatment. Conclusion Arterial perfusion and neoadjuvant chemotherapy are a safe and effective treatment modality for cervical cancer and can be used in radical resection of tumors.
