Clinical evaluation of serum carcinoembryonic antigen, α-1-antitrypsin and α-1-acid-glycoprotein in patients with lung cancer

  • The values of serum CEA were determined with monoclonal anti-CEA and the values of erum AAT and AAG were determined with Bebring Laser Nephelometer (BLN) in 50 healthy subjects, 7 lung infection cases and 97 lung cancer cases simultaneously. The results showed that the etermination of CEA, as a cancer marker, is of clinical significance in differential diagnosis nd assessing the therapeutic effect and prognosis of lung cancer. During the course of lung ancer, the determination of AAT or AAG is also of significance to assess the therapeutic ffect nd prognosis of lung cancer but there is no value in differenting lung cancer and lung nfection.
