The pathological changes of mice esophagus after thoracic irradiation with fast neutron and photon in mice

Objective: To observe the esophageal pathological changes after thoracic irradiation with different rays. Methods: The thorax of 168 mice were irradiated with equal effective fast neutron, photon and mixed beams, respectively. Results: There were no difference found in the pathological changes of esophagus after the three kinds of beam irradiation.5: The radiation reactions of the mice esophagus seem not to be deteriorated after thoracal irradiation with fast neutron, photon or mixed beams.
