Study on clinical disposable paper dressing

The disposable paper dressing was developed as a new wrapping material used in clinical practice. It can be sterilized by autoclaving method and more than three layers of paper can be penetrated by the steam. The filtration efficiency of two layers of paper to bacteria is better than that of two layers of cotton cloth. The sterile objects wrapped with the paper can be kept in the clean room at least for 8 weeks. In comparison with cotton dressing, the paper dressing has following advantages: (1) It is convenient for use; (2) The opportunity of nosocomial infection is low; (3) The price is cheap; (4) It can raise labor efficiency. It is recommended on basis of experimental results that the disposable paper dressing can be used as wrapping material for syringes, gloves and other clinical objects.
