Effects of acupuncture on relativity of myocardial tension in ischemic region and some indexes of cardiac function during acute myocardial ischemia

This study was designed to clarify the influences of acupuncture on relativity of myocardial tension（DT）in the ischemic region of left ventricle and left ventricular pressure（LVP）,∑ST and NST on epicardium electrogram,the maximal rate of intraventricular pressure rise(dP/dt_max),aortic pressure（AoP）,end-diastolic pressure in left ventricular（LVEDP）and isometric tension-time index（TTI）during acute myocardial ischemia in 30 dogs. The results showed that DT in myocardial ischemic region was positively related to LVP, dP/dt_max,closely negatively nelated to ∑ST and NST on epicardium electrogram.In control group, DT was closely negatively related to LVEDP,but in acupuncture group,DT was closely positively related to LVEDP.The difference of regression coefficient between this two groups was of significant statistically,suggesting that acupuncture might obviously improve the relationship between DT and LVP,∑ST and LVEDP and,thereby,might be advantagous to the maintenance of pump function during acute myocardial ischemia.
