Role of FHL2 in regulation of Id2 functional activity

  • Objective: To study the role of FHL2 in regulation of Id2 functional activity. Methods: Expression vectors including E47,5xE Box Luc,pRL SV40,Id2 and FHL2 were cotransfected with MCF-7,293T and SH-SY5Y cells,respectively. Relative luciferase values for transfected cells were measured by dual luciferase report assay. Results: E47 significantly up-regulated the expression of reporter gene in three cell lines.Id2 inhibited the activity of E47.FHL2 decreased the inhibitory effect of Id2 by interacting with Id2. Conclusion: FHL2 is a novel functional repressor of Id2 by suppressing the functional activity of Id2.
