Abstract
Objective To investigate the in vitro killing effect of an antisense oligodeoxynucleotide drug, cantide, on breast cancer cell strains. Methods Inhibition rate of cantide for BT474 breast caner cell strains was assayed by MTT and cell apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry with Annexin/PI double staining. Results MTT showed the killing effect of cantide on BT474 cells. After Annexin/PI staining, flow cytometry showed that the apoptosis rate of BT474 cells was 16.82%, mainly manifested as end-stage apoptosis. Conclusion Cantide has a strong inhibitory effect on breast cancer BT474 cells in a concentration-dependent manner.
