Clinical and coronary arteriography characteristics of different gender patients with acute myocardial infarction

Objective To study the clinical characteristics of different gender patients with acute myocardial infarction（AMI）. Methods Two hundred AMI patients were divided in male group（n=100） and female group（n=100） and their clinical characteristics were retrospectively analyzed. Results The average age of patients in female group was greater than that of those in male group（P＜0.05）.The incidence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus was higher in female group than in male group（P＜0.05）.No difference was observed in hyperlipemia,infarction size,characteristics of coronary lesions,and arrhythmia between the two groups（P＞0.05）.The Killip classification≥Ⅲ and the mortality during hospital stay time were higher in female group than in male group（P＜0.05）. Conclusion The number of risk factors for female AMI patients is greater and the mortality during hospital stay time of them is high.
