Abstract
Generally, treatment severe systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) with involvement of central nervous system(CNS) and multiple organs is very difficult,We have treated 7 cases with high-dose of glucocorticoids administered for more than one month in comhination with intravenous“pulse”of cyclophosphamide given in the early stage. After patients being improved, moderate doses of glucocorticoids were maintaind formore than six months and immunosuppressive agents(Oral or IV) were continued to be given,Antipsy-chotics,lymphocyte-transfer factors, traditional Chinese medicine,H2-receptor antagonists and hematopoietics were given as adjunct therapies when indicated. This planned therapeutic program has met satisfactory short and long-term effects.
