Characters of images and management of intracranial fusiform aneurysms

Objective: To discuss the characters of images and management of intracranial fusiform aneurysms.（ Methods: The） images of DSA and the results of endovascular and surgical management of 35 cases of intracranial fusiform aneurysms that were confirmed by DSA were analyzed in retrospect.And the results and security of management were estimated.（ Results: In） the group the condition of patients according to Hunt-Hess grade were: grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ in 30 cases,grade Ⅲ in 4 cases and grade Ⅳ-Ⅴ in 1 case.All the cases were diagnosed by DSA,and managed by endovascular embolization in 12 cases and by surgical operation in 8 cases,and spontaneous thrombosis in 3 cases.Only the images of DSA were estimated in 12 cases.Of the 20 cases that were treated 15 cases were cured and improved in 4 cases,only 1 case was died.Neurological deficit occurred in 2 cases.DSA showed that the aneurysms were eliminated in 16 cases and diminished in 4 cases.During a period of 6 months to 4 years by telephone or outpatient callback no new symptoms of responsibility occurred. Conclusion: Endovascular embolization or parent artery occlusion is a minimal traumatic,secure and effective method of treatment for intracranial fusiform aneurysms.DSA is the credible means to diagnose the disease and to check up the result of treatment.The treatment results are well in the near period follow-up,but that will be much more investigated in the long period follow-up of a great number of patients.
