The post crown with light curing composite resin

  • 36 teeth with large defects in 34 patients were restored by post crown with light curingcomposite resin which could be finished for a patient only visiting one time after root-canal fillingAfter six months to one year follow-up,better clinical results were obtained.This method is appliedto large defect of the tooth crown,especially to the situation of the root surface below the gingi-val margin,which is difficult to restore by coventional method.Its retention depends on the cem-entation among cement,manufactured dowel,light curing composite resin,and the wall of the rootcanal.It can be used instead of cast dowel in some way.There is little injure to the gums.Pat-ients are satisfied with its esthetic appearence and function.It is easy to operate and be popular-ized and it can save manpower and material resources as well.
