Laparoscopic anterior resection rectal cancer with no abdominal incision

Objective To study the clinical value of laparoscopic anterior rectal cancer resection with no abdominal incision. Methods Laparoscopic anterior rectal cancer resection with no abdominal incision was performed in 5 patients to observe their operation time,blood loss,and postoperative recovery.The patients were followed up during which their short and long term complications were observed. Results The operation for the 5 patients was successful with an average operation time of 150min and an average blood loss of no more than 50ml.The 5 patients had an uneventful recovery with no short and long term complications. Conclusion Laparoscopic anterior rectal cancer resection with no abdominal incision is a safe procedure with the advantages of minimal invasiveness,rapid recovery and cost-effectiveness compared with traditional laparoscopic procedures.
