Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of YQHXFF on intima hyperplasia and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1) in rabbits after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). Methods Twenty-eight male New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into control group, model group and YQHXFF intervention group. A model of re-stenosis was established by injuring common carotid artery of rabbits on cholesterol. After 8 weeks, VCAM-1 was measured by immunohistochemistry, and pathologic changes were observed with H&E staining. Results Compared to the model group, the expression of VCAM-1 was markedly decreased and intima hyperplasia was significantly improved in YQHXFF intervention group. Conclusion YQHXFF can inhibit the expression of VCAM-1 and improve intima hyperplasia after PTCA.
