Prevention and treatment of intraoperative aneurysm rupture

Objective: To explore the prevention and treatment of intraoperative aneurysm rupture. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 87 cases of intracranial aneurysms.In accordance with the different locations,sizes and topographies of the aneurysms,exposure of cervical carotid artery and temporary parent artery occlusion were used to prevent the rupture of aneurysms.When the aneurysm ruptured,parent artery was occluded or the aneurysm was trapped,and then the aneurysm was properly treated. Results: There were 8 cases of aneurysm rupture,accounting for 9.2% of the total aneurysms in the same time frame.The aneurysms were clipped,trapped or excised.The glassgow outcome scale scores were 4 to 5 in 4 cases,3 in 3 cases,and 1 in 1 case. Conclusion: The treatment of intraoperative aneurysm rupture lies in the control of the parent artery.Complete opening of the cisterns and temporary proximal occlusion could prevent the rupture.
