The results of DuJiangYan No.1 treating the acute eczema of the military personnel after the Wenchuan earthquake

Objective: To investigate the effect of self-made prescription DuJiangYan No.1 on rescue soldiers with acute eczema in WenChuan earthquake.Methods: 1 716 soldiers with eczema were randomly divided into therapeutic group and control group.The therapeutic group including 1 198 cases was given DuJiangYan No.1 through external application twice a day for five days,and the control group including 518 cases was given Dexamethasone cream by the same means.Results: The effective rate was significantly higher in therapeutic group than that in control group（94.57% vs 84.94%,P＜0.05）.The score of itching degree and size of skin rash of post-treatment improved significantly than that of prior treatment in both groups（P＜0.01）.The score of itching degree and size of skin rash improved significantly in therapeutic group than that of control group（P＜0.05）.Conclusion: DuJiangYan No.1 is effective for rescue soldiers with acute eczema in WenChuan earthquake.
