Abstract
Objective: to observe the effects of a novel membrane targeted complememt regulator on renal function after rat kidney transplantation. Methods: Donor kidneys were perfused with APT070, APT898, peptides, and Collins solution before isograft kidney transplantation. Renal functions were measured 1. 7 days after transplantation. Results: Renal functions were significantly improved by perfusing donor kidney with APT070, P<0.05. Conclusion: APT070, a novel membrane targeted complement regulator can prevent ischemia/reperfusion injury and facilitate short term renal function in rat isograft model.
