Abstract
This study was designed to observe influences of different loads, interventions and acute myocardial ischemia on regional myocardial function of left ventricle in dogs. The direct measurement of myocardial tension is used as one of important parameters in evaluation of local myocadial contractility.Experiment animals were diveded into five groups:The group of preload increase, afterload increase, positive inotropic effect, negative inotropic effect, and acute mycardial ischemia. The result showed that the developmental tension(DT)of myocardium was only augmented slightly when preload and afterload were increased, but DT changed markedly when myocardial inotropic states varyed and reduced obvionsly after the left anterior descent branch of coronary artery(LAD) was ligated. This indicate that segmental tension of myocardium is a practical index for the evaluation of regional myocardial function.
