ERG-OPs and studies in normal persons

Electroretinogram Oscillatory Potentials reflecting the retinal circulation is an examination of the retinal physiologic function.It was used in clinic abroad in 1950’s,pertinent reports have not been published at home so far.OPs studies were carricd out on a series of 130 eyes from 100 normal persons ranging in age from 13 to 63 years.Our results show that OPs are generally 3—5 rhythmic wavelets in normal condition.Its amplitude and implicit time have not markedly difference in both eyes and sex,but amplitudes of OPs decreases gradually with increasing age.especially at the age above 50.After a-wave the poak times of wavelets are 16,23,30,35 msec respectively.The total amplitude is 813 μV on average.The form of wavelets depends completely on the condition of experiment.
