Complement inhibition by a novel membrane-targeted complement regulator improves long-term renal isograft function in the rat

  • Objective: to observe the effects of a novel membrane targeted complememt regulator on long term renal function after rat kidney transplantation Methods: Donor kidneys were perfused with APT070,APT898,and Collins solution before isograft kidney transplantation Renal functions and 24 hour urine protein were measured 4~20.weeks after transplantation Results: Renal functions and 24 hour urine protein were significantly improved by perfusing donor kidney with APT070(P<0.001) Conclusion: APT070,a novel membrane targeted complement regulator can improve long term renal isograft function
