Abstract
From December 1987 to November 1989, twenty-one adult patients with acute nonlymphocytic leukemia were treated with DATV (daunorubicin, Ara-C, 6-TG and VCR) and DA (daunorubicin and Ara-C) program. Complete remission (CR) was obtained in 10/11 patients (90.9%) with the former and in 7/10 patients (70%) with the latter. The total remission rate in patients with two prbtocols was 80.5%. We concluded initially that the CR rate with program DATV and DA is very similar (p>0.05). Long continued CR was seen in patients treated with autologous bone marrow trarrow transplantation or early intensification chemotherapy after CR. More patients are needed to evaluate the efficacy of DATV and DA protocol on the CR rate and remission duration more reasonably.
