Clinical histopathological and ultrastructural manifestations of pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta

Objective: In order to find a more effective treatment for pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta（（PLEVA））.Methods: The clinical,histopathological,Immunohistochemistry and ultrastructural manifestations of PLEVA were investigated through the 11 patients at our hospital within the past 12 years.Results: ①The diffused hemorrhagic papules with polymorphic lesions were manifestations in PLEVA.②Under the microscopy and electronmicroscopy,the lymphocytic vasculitis with lymphocytes and red blood cell migrating into epidermis were observed.③ As for corticosteroids,nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs and ciclosporin,ciclosporin is the most effective drug for serious PLEVA. Conclusions: vCiclosporin maybe an effective treatment for serious PLEVA.
