Effects of chemotherapy in combination with Idarubicin on acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

Objective To observe the therapeutic and side effects of chemotherapy in combination with Idarubicin on acute lymphoblastic leukaemia（ALL）. Methods Thirty-one ALL patients were admitted to our hospital in January 2005-August 2008.The patients were divided into IOLP and DOLP groups.Their remission rate and toxic-side effects were compared between the two groups. Results The CR rate of the two groups was 94.44%and 76.92%,respectively（P＜0.05）.Similar side-effects of chemotherapy occurred in the two groups.The vomiting,nausea and diarrhea rates were lower in IOLP group than in DOLP group.The time of bone marrow suppression was longer in IOLP group than in DOLP group. Conclusion Chemotherapy in combination with Idarubicin for ALL has a better remission rate for ALL and a longer bone marrow suppression time.
