Experimental study on skin safety of sunscreens

  • Objective: Aim To investigate the effects of Sunscreens with different Sun protection factor (SPF) on guinea pig Skin. Methods: 12 White guinea pigs (half males and females,weighing 350±8g ) were divided randomly into SPF15,28,and 30+ three group.The animals were shed and defend to bask over the back. Then the animal were ray radiation (168 ±2)mW/cm2 with UV 320-400 nm. Results: In three sun-screening agent with different sun protection factor,skin reaction integral of group SPF 15 was 0,group SPF 28 was 1 and group SPF 30+ was 3. Conclusion: The results were suggested that there were a good safe in group SPF 15 and group SPF 28,there was handsome photosensitive reaction in group SPF 30+.
