Observation on the Hearing and Trace Elements of Hair in Aged Persons over 90 Years

Pure tone audiometry, high frequency audiometry and trace elements of hair were measured in 30 aged persons over 90 years, and compared with the proup less than 60 years. The results revealed the hearing loss of pau-frepuency pure tone in group over 90 years was more marked than that in control group （P＜0.01）. The high frequency audiometry in group over 90 years showed that the higher frequency increased the less member of ears could hear. The contents of Zn, Mg of hair in group over 90 years were lower than that in group less than 60 years（P＜0.01）. The significance of the results was discussed.
