Clinical application of high risk-human papillom virus-DNA typing and quantification in exfoliated cervical cells

Abstract
Objective To study the significance of high risk-human papillom virus-DNA(HR-HPV-DNA) typing and quantification in prevention and treatment of cervical cancer. Methods HR-HPV-DNA was typed and quantified was detected in exfoliated cervical cells from 1 417 normal females by real-time dual fluorescent probes PCR and 1 417 cases were detected using TCT. Results The positive rate of HR-HPV16 was the highest in all types of HR-HPV,accounting for 19.14%.The total positive rate of HR-HPV-DNA was 13.76%,which increased with the increasing severity of cervical cancer.The HR-HPV-DNA level was significantly higher in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) group and atypical squamous cell group than in normal group,atrophic squamous cell group,mild and moderate inflammation groups(P<0.05). Conclusion The severity of cervical cancer is related not only with the HR-HPV type but also with the HR-HPV-DNA level.
