Pulsatie Secretion of Luteinizing Hormone in Patient with Testicular Feminization ls Not Regulated by Testosterone

Luteinizing hormone（LH）pulse analysis was performed in a patient with testicular feminization before and after oral administration of fluoxymesterone（FMT）in dose of 40mg daily for 2 weeks.It was found that the mean basal LH level,LH pulse frequency and amplitude in testicular feminization were higher than those in normal subject,and not changed significantly by giving FMT,even though by the time the serum testosterone level had reached normal range. This result illustrated that there is no regulating effect of testosterone on both hypothalamic and pituitary levels in patient with testicular feminization.
