Research on the human leucocyte antigens(HLA) in 27 patients with congenital dislocation of the hip(CDH)

  • 77 samples for assay of HLA antigens in 27 patients with CDH were investigated and the results were compared with those from normal control determined by our hospital (n=27) and those by PLA 307 hospital (n=78). HLA antisera were offered by Chengdu Central Blood Bank and the microcytotoxic test were used for determination of HLA-A, B, C and DR antigens. our data show statistical difference between CDH and normal control in antigen frequency of HLAB6, DR10 and Cw3. by Fisher's method for calculation of P value, the difference is of statistical significance, HLA-B6 and DR10 being higher than normal control (P<0.001 and 0.01 respectivelly) and HLA-Cw3 lower than normal control (P< 0.05). It is suggested that immunogenetic factors may be responsible, at least partly, for the development of CDH.
