Investigation on developmental characters of neural stem cells in striatuma from human fetal brain at different age

  • Objective: To investigate the developmental characters of neural stem cells(NSCs) in striatuma from human fetal brain at different age. Methods: 60 cases of embryoes at gestational age 16w~28w and by induction of labor with water bag were collected for determining distribution, shapes, growth modes and the number of NSCs in striatuma with immunohistochemical method. Results: NSCs existed in striatuma from human fetal brain at different age.NSCs mainly distributed in lenticula and cauda nucleus, less in inner vesica.NSCs existed in striatuma of different fetal age included round, oval, triangle and polygon cells,The oval NSCs were more than others.NSCs had enations from 0 to 3.Nucli submitted round and oval shapes, each having nucleoli from 1 to 4. Most NSCs had rarefaction chromatin, the smaller part hadpykno-chromatin.NSCs in striatuma gradually decreased with increase of age. Conclusions: There are differences on shapes and the number of NSCs in striatuma from different gestational age, but, there are no differences on distribution of NSCs.
