Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of +Gz on cholecystokinin(CCK),somatostatin(SS),biliary tract pressure, and bile duct flow in rabbits on high cholesterol diets. Methods Thirty male rabbits were randomly divided into 2-,4-and 6-week high cholesterol groups(control groups),high cholesterol plus 2-,4-and 6-week +Gz groups(experimental groups),5 rabbits in each group.Their CCK,SS,biliary tract pressure, and bile duct flow were measured. Results The CCK level was lower in 3 experimental groups than in 3 control groups(F=85.845,P<0.01),which decreased with +Gz exposure time, while the SS level was significantly higher in 3 experimental groups than in 3 control groups(F=71.081,P<0.01),which increased with the +Gz exposure time. The biliary tract pressure was higher in 3 experimental groups than in 3 control groups(P<0.05),which decreased with the +Gz exposure time. The bile duct flow rate was lower in 3 experimental groups than in 3 control groups(F=28.354,P<0.05),which decreased with the +Gz exposure time. Conclusion +Gz exposure may decrease the CCK level, increase the SS level, lead to abnormal bile cyst empting function and bile duct pressure in rabbits on high cholesterol diets, suggesting that +Gz exposure can accelerate the formation of gallstones.
