Modified Watson-Jones approach in minimally invasive surgery for posterior hip-joint dislocation accompanying Pipkin I and II femoral head fracture

  • Objective To study the modified Watson-Jones approach in minimally invasive surgery for posterior hip-joint dislocation accompanying Pipkin I and II femoral head fracture. Methods Posterior hip-joint dislocation accompanying Pipkin I and II femoral head fracture was internally fixed in 7 patients(1 accompanying Pipkin I and 6 accompanying Pipkin II femoral head fracture) with modified Watson-Jones approach using hollow titanium screws. Results The Harris score of modified Watson-Jones approach in minimally invasive surgery for posterior hip-joint dislocation accompanying Pipkin I and II femoral head fracture was 90-96(mean 92.5). Conclusion Modified Watson-Jones approach is an ideal operative route in minimally invasive surgery for posterior hip-joint dislocation accompanying Pipkin I and II femoral head fracture.
