Abstract
Plasma cardionatrin level was determined with radioimmunoassay in 25 healthy subjects and 29 patients with chronic renal disease(CRD).The results showed that plasma cardionatrin was 360. ±43.8pg/ml in healthy controls and 617.±84.2 pg/ml in the patients with CRD.There was significant difference statistically between these values(P<0.05).The mean plasma cardionatrin level was significantly higher in patients with chronic renal failure than in patients with normal renal function and in patients with impaired renal function. The value of plasma cardionatrin in 13 pa- tients with CRD complicated by hypertension was significantly lower than that in 16 patients with normotension(P<0.05).There were significant differances both in plasma cardionatrin and serum electrolytes in 6 patients with chronic renal failure during pre and post-hemodialysis.Finally, the mechanism of change in plasm cardionatrin level in the patients with CRD was briefly discussed.in the paper.
