A new micro-method for determination of HPD in blood

A simple micro fluorometric method for the determination of HPD in blood was developed. 10 μ1 whole blood, containing HPD, was added to 0.5 ml normal saline, mixed and centrifuged HPD in the supernatant was determined fluorometrically with excitation at 390 nm, emission at 630 nm. The least detection amount of HPD in blood was about 0.05—0.2ng, which varied with different sources of HPD.By using this method, the blood drug concentration following i.v. administration of three different products of HPD to mice was determined. The results were comparable to those obtained from the serum.
