The experimental study of FQ-I computed machine for irrigating wound

  • Objective:In order to reduce the incidence of infection and disablement, and increase the efficiency of wound flushing and debriding,a computed irrigating device was designed. Methods:Canine models wounded with gunshot at the limbs were established. Three methods, including computed irrigating device, rubber ball and bottle-poured,were used to irrigating wound, respectively.General observation and quantitative bacterial analysis were performed immediately after injured and irrigated. Results:The bacteria counts at the surface of wound irrigated with computed irrigating device are much less than those with rubber ball and bottle-poured(P<0.01).Moreover ,the wound surface flushing with computed irrigating device has much less debris, fragments or eyewinker in comparison with two other ways. Conclusion:Computed irrigating device is superior to traditional flushing methods in respect of operation and flushing efficiency. It could be more useful during war.
