Abstract
Objective: To investigate the antibody response to hepatitis B vaccination and the necessity of reinforcement of recombinant hepatitis B vaccine (RHBV) at 12 month. Methods: Infants were divided into two groups at random. RHBV was administered on 0 day,1 month,6 months in routine-group, and RHBV was administered on 0 day,1 month,6 months,12 months in reinforce-group. Positive rate of HbsAb titers and duration of HbsAB were measured in 12,18,30,60 months. Results: The positive rate of HbsAb of infants was lower than the reinforce-group. There is a significant difference in the duration of HbsAb of infants that the reinforce-group is much longer than routine-group(P<0005). Conclusions: In many individuals, RHBV promote a full, longer-lasting antibody response after reinforcing in 12 months.
