Cost of in-patients with hysteromyoma managed as a single disease

Objective To study the factors influencing the cost of in-patients with hysteromyoma managed as a single disease. Methods Data about 797 patients with hysteromyoma admitted to our hospital from 2009-01-01 to 2009-12-31 were retrieved from the Hospital Information System（HIS）.The cost of 312 valid in-patients and its major influencing factors were analyzed. Results The factors influencing the cost of in-patients included hospital stay time,payment ways,drug cost proportion,and surgical procedure. Conclusion The cost of in-patients can be reduced by establishing weight criteria for controlling the cost of a single disease,including standard drug cost,as well as surgery,laboratory and treatment cost.
