Clinical pathological features and prognosis of 120 patients with rectal cancer

  • Objective: To evaluate the relationship between clinical pathological features and prognosis of rectal cancer after operation. Methods: Clinical features, pathologic factors and survival rate of 120 patients with rectal cancer after operation were univariately and multivariately analyzed. Results: Univariate analysis showed that sex, age, and tumor location of rectal cancer patients were not related to their survival rate, while multivariate analysis showed that histological type and TNM stage were the independent prognostic factors for rectal cancer. Conclusion: The survival of patients with rectal cancer is related to the histological type and TNM stage of rectal cancer.Further study is needed to investigate the new factors.
