Clinical application of pressure-support-ventilation in respiratory failure

8 patients with respiratory failure caused by different diseases were treated with pressuresuppoet-ventilation （PSV）, in early mechanical ventilation or in the course of wearning of mechanical ventilation. Compared to conventional mechanical ventilation, PSV gives the patient more control over the ventilatory pattern and reduces the incidence of some complication due to mechanical ventilation.
