The concentretion of serum Vit.E in children with epilepsia,mental retardation and neuro-muscular disorder

The concentration of serum Vitamin E was investigated in 60 children with epilepsia,52 with mental retardation and 45 with neuro-muscular disorder.The averege value of Vit.E was shown to be 8.09±0.32μg/ml in epilepsia,8.08±0.59μg/ml in metnal retardation and 8.44±0.48μg/ ml in neuro-muscular disorder,being lower than that in normal children（P＜0.05～0.01）.The clinical significanceof this finding will be studied further.
