Regional portal hypertension caused by non-functioning islet cell tumor

Abstract
Regional portal hypertension (RPH) is often caused by splenic vein occlusion. It can e cured by splenectomy and the correct treatment of original diseases. Because of it’s lower orbidity and concealed loci, RPH easily leads to misdiagnosis and wrong treatment. We ncountered a case of this kind, caused by non-functioning islet cell tumor. The patient was ured after splenectomy and resection of tumor. The patient is very well till now.
