Abstract
Objective To study the effect of tension-free vaginal tape obturator(TVT-O) procedure on stress urinary incontinence(SUI)in females and its clinical significance.Methods The outcomes and complications of TVT-O procedure in 54 females with SUI were retrospectively analyzed.Results The SUI was treated in 54 females with the TVT-O procedure.The mean operation time was 15min and the mean blood loss was 15ml.No urinary dysfunction was found in the patients after operation.Of the patients who were followed up for 10-36 months after operation,4 had transient dysuria which was treated with persisten urinary catherization or with drugs,2 complained of mild femoribus internus discomfort.Conclusion The TVT-O is a safe,effective,minimally invasive and simple procedure for SUI in females.
