Clinical observation and nursing of patients with phlebitis caused by two administration routes of alprostadil injection

Objective To explore the infusion methods to reduce phlebitis caused by alprostadil injection. Methods Sixty patients were randomly divided into experiment group and control group.Patients in experiment and control groups received intravenous infusion and drip of 10μg alprostadil injection in 100ml saline,respectively,once a day for 10 days.Occurrence of phlebitis in the two groups was compared. Results The incidence of phlebitis caused by intravenous infusion and drip of alprostadil injection was 6.67% and 46.67%,respectively（P＜0.05）. Conclusion Intravenous infusion of alprostadil injection is much better than intravenous drip in reducing phlebitis.
