Abstract
Objective: To study the mRNA of human telomerase reverse transcriptase(hTERT) in exfoliated urinary cells of bladder cancer and to evaluate its clinical significance. Methods: We examined the expression of mRNA of hTERT in exfoliated urorhelial cells of bladder and control by RT-PCR.Meantime,the telomere reoeat amplification protocol(TRAP) was performed for indentify the result of mRNA of hTERT.Results: The positive rate of hTERT mRNA of bladder cancer group is 93%(26/28) and control group is 10%(2/20).The result was consistent with the TRAP.Conclusion: The result suggest the expression of hTERT mRNA can be useful in screeing for bladder cancer and diagnosing bladder cancer recrudesce after operation.
